Government Grants are available from the federal government through Natural Resources Canada and from the Province of Saskatchewan.

Grants are available for:

• Commercial Solar Hot Water Systems:
  • Federal and provincial incentives will provide 50% of the cost of a commercial solar hot water system, under the EcoEnergy for Renewable Heat and Shift program. This program will end on March 31, 2011. All applications must be submitted before October 31, 2010.
• Residential and small Commercial Grid-Tied Solar and Wind Power Systems:
• SaskPower has introduced a Net Metering program. A Saskatchewan government incentive is available for 35% of the capital equipment costs. Financing is available through SaskPower for renewable energy systems and geothermal systems.
