Energy from the Sun

Use the energy from the sun to provide heat and electricity for your home or business. There are two different systems - one provides electricity and one provides heat. Renewable power is created using photovoltaic (PV) panels while hot water and space heating are generated with solar thermal collectors. You can choose one or both systems for your home or business.

Solar and Wind Power Systems: Sunlight is converted to clean, renewable electricity by photovoltaic cells in solar panels installed on your roof or on a pole mount in your yard. Wind power from wind generators is also an indirect form of solar energy since wind results from differential heating of the earth’s surface by the sun.

Solar Hot Water and Heating Systems: Radiation from the sun heats liquid in a solar thermal collector that transfers the heat to a hot water tank where it can be used for domestic hot water and for space heating.

Renewable power and heating are complementary systems that work beautifully together.

At Suncatcher Solar we help you choose the systems that work best for your application. Contact us about solar system design and installation.
